Evaluation of human mercenary forces in the dominion-celzi war
The human mercenaries known as the ‘imperial guard'(there appears to be no such imperium in existence, but when searched for in what is know as the internet, shows that the humans have based their entire militia on a faction from a science fiction game known as Warhammer 40k) have shown to be incredibly effective when trialed on smaller conflicts and are currently on their way towards larger scale conflicts and main fronts to support dominion troops, but a number of abnormalities have been noted when compared to what has been observed of human military doctrine as well as our own, which we believe may cause some problems when directing them into battle.
For starters, they do not use conventional human firearms or any form of pulse weaponry.
Their armaments consist of a weapon that they have developed themselves known as a ‘lasgun’ and somehow fires a concentrated beam of light that can, for some reason, punch straight through any shield harnesses, resulting in the victim melting from the intensity of said beam. This weapon seems to be utilised by their infantry and we are currently attempting to figure out how they even made something like that.
More specialised weapons have been observed in the form of portable plasma weapon that utilises liquid hydrogen in order to send bolts of plasma at opponents. This, however, should be viewed as another reason why humans are all insane, as liquid hydrogen is incredibly reactive, but the mercenaries seem to think that strapping a large container filled with it to their backs and carrying it into a warzone is a good idea.
Another special weapon they have developed is the flame gun, or flamethrower, which is exactly as it sounds, and dates back to the human world wars with more primative versions known as Greek fire dating back over (1thousand earth years). These flame guns have shown to be increasingly effective when clearing enemy trenches or bunkers and Any other such fortification, as well as engulfing any victim in flame and suffocating them by destroying their lungs as well as charring their flesh, serving as a what the humans call a psychological weapon as its presence can cause entire [platoons] to surrender. Another major problem, is that the liquid that is sent out the barrel and ignited is also incredibly volatile and likely to explode flwere the container to be damaged, showing once again that humans are insane.
The commanders of this army are shown to utilize a type of ballistic fire arm called a bolter, which fires out a heavy slug containing a rocket propelled payload that then ignites mid flight and buries itself into the target before detonating. The only problem is that the biology of the target will typically provide no resistance to such a force, and the slug will commonly fly through multiple targets before running out of fuel and exploding. It has also shown to be able to destroy a celzi tank or vulza in a single hit, so research into such a weapon may prove valuable for further conflicts, but should also be tested and trialed on reliability and whether or not it is even somewhat of a sane idea.
Next is human equipment. They seem to utilize what is known as camouflage, which is the method of using shapes and colours to replicate the environment in order to blend in with it, resulting in whatever is camouflaged becoming harder to spot, which is currently being researched into as a method of preserving troops and increasing their effectiveness as shown with the tactics employed by the first human to enter the war.
These humans however, seem to completely disregard the implied notion as they make no effort to conceal themselves, charging in masses with no apparent organisation or formation and completely engulfing the enemy in a combination of melee and ranged combat whilst shouting such phrases as “for the emperor” and “die xeno scum”, both of which have been seen as rather unsettling by dominion soldiers working alongside them.
The mercenaries are also equipped with alloy based armour that can stop any form of pulse weaponry, albeit with no effect against fusion weapons, which makes no sense when comparing such tactics as they are entirely open to such weapons. Such absurdity is amplified as they do not use any form of fusion weapons, instead opting for a simple metal blade that is attached to the end of a ‘lasgun’ and then plunged into the opponent, ensuring that the victim bleeds to death, if they haven’t been instantly pulverised by the sheer force of such an action. These blades are called a bayonets, and such an action known as a bayonet charge. Their commanders however utilise a different weapon known as a chain blade. This sword shaped device cuts through opponents with a series of linked blades that move along the edges of it in order to slice through objects. When queried about such tactics and weapons, the usual response goes along the lines of “its ‘badass'(a slang word)” or “because it makes the ‘heretics'(a being practicing an act that opposes a religion) ‘shit'(defecate) themselves” implying that they find it fun and utilise it as a fear based tactic.
Then there are human tanks. They have developed several known types, with their main tanks being known as leman Russ tanks, which rely on heavy armour as they consider force fields to be for the weak, use tracks for movement and are armed with a combination of literally every weapon as well as a main shell firing cannon, and despite it being technologically inferior, it is somehow a more effective tank than any of our standard issue ones. They have made features that we have long since moved on from even more potent then they once were, showing that these deathworlders have somehow developed the ability to make anything stupidly deadly despite suitable alternatives.
And then there’s the baneblade. They have made a tank so large, so heavily armoured and covered in at least one of everything I’ve just mentioned, that it essentially functions as a mobile base, seeing as it’s literally the size of one. Its main gun can take out an entire fortress, its tracks are so large that it often just runs over any tanks in its way, and the celzi alliance have contacted us asking that we stop using such a machine or said human mercenaries in exchange for a large bulk of captured commanders.
Of course we have rejected this offer, and in conclusion I believe it is wise that we keep those deranged lunatics as far away from our own troops as possible.
